With database marketing, you can develop personalized newsletters that are automatically sent to everyone in your database – or those who meet specific criteria that YOU define!
It sounds simple, but what’s the catch?

- Your website must GRAB the visitor’s attention and offer them something valuable in exchange for something even MORE valuable, their contact information. Consider offering discounts, special reports or even free e-books to customers who share their contact information.
- That information will then feed into your database, where it can be divided into marketing lists.
- You can then use the marketing lists to direct advertising to the right audience.
- Of course, your direct advertising will prompt your recipients to go right back to where they started, your website.
No website? No worries!
You DO NOT NEED A WEBSITE to use database marketing! If you have a way to collect information from your customers and leads – you can use this technique. Here are some businesses that can benefit from database marketing:
• Small Resale Boutique
Have customers complete a small card with contact information with the promise of coupons and a free birthday surprise! You can send discount coupons a few times a year and maybe an extra coupon during the customer’s birthday month.
